Charles E. Newton

Charles is a Principal of the firm and current firm President. Charles is an experienced trial attorney whose practice focuses on family law litigation, emphasizing complex marital dissolutions of high net worth marital estates, often involving business valuations and separate property tracing. He also has broad experience with contested parenting matters, child support and parenting plan modifications, and domestic violence issues.

Charles has extensive experience in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of Washington State. Charles began his career as a King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, where he first chaired over 40 trials to verdict. Prior to joining the firm, Charles was a partner at a prominent Seattle law firm where he handled complex family law and commercial litigation matters for more than eight years.

Charles was recognized as a Washington Super Lawyers® Rising Star honoree in 2012 – 2016, and a Super Lawyer honoree in 2016 – present. In 2024, he was recognized as The Top 100 by Super Lawyers. Charles has also been recognized by Best Lawyers® since 2024.
